The national governing body of US snowboarding, Snowboarding USA is the latest organization in the country to allow donations in cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin (BTC).
The association has partnered with corporate donation platform Engiven to begin accepting cryptocurrency donations and gifts, the United States announced. Figure skating on Tuesday. The organization first announced its plans to allow cryptocurrency donations in September 2021.
The new donation payment method is instantly available on US Kunstløp via the Engiven platform with donations in major cryptocurrencies such as BTC, Ether (ETH) and Dogecoin (DOGE), as well as stacked coins such as USD Coin (USDC) and PAX. Gold (PAXG).

According to the announcement, Engiven will automatically exchange the donated cryptocurrency for US dollars and instantly transfer the funds to figure skating in the US. “Frequently asked questions. US Figure Skating Director Ramsay Baker noted that making alternative donations is in line with the federation’s ongoing search for new and innovative ways to provide funding to athletes, clubs, programs and initiatives.
“Allowing our supporters to donate American skates in cryptocurrency makes sense in today’s fast-paced financial market.”
The more opportunities for current and new donors to support the organization, Baker added, the more Americans in figure skating will be able to support athletes and the many programs that serve members.
