AMC Theaters plans to show NFT to celebrate the opening day of Sony Pictures: No Way Home’s Spider-Man in US theaters.
The company offers a limited number (up to 86,000 NFT) of AMC Stubs Premiere & A-List and AMC Investor Connect members. Those who purchase a preliminary ticket to screen the latest Spider-Man movie on December 16 will be eligible for the giveaway.
According to an announcement on November 28, the collaboration between Sony Pictures and AMC Entertainment is the first of its kind.
Over 100 NFT designs will be provided by Cub Studios, a BAFTA award-winning animation studio. The tokens will be redeemed on the WAX platform, a carbon neutral blockchain powered by Proof of Stake consensus.
This highly anticipated film is the third in the Spider-Man Hero series and the sequel to Spider-Man: Far From Home, which grossed $ 1.13 billion worldwide.

3D NFT on ICP
Internet Computer Networking (ICP) Dfinity launched NFT Studio, a 3D and interactive NFT platform that enables developers to design, create and share shared and interactive 3D NFT applications.
The platform includes a 3D voxel engine and a pixel engine that allows users to create 3D models that can be converted to NFT and used in video games.
3D creators are often limited to networks like Ethereum or Solana, which cannot handle large files, said Lucas Merville, Founder and Team Leader at NFT Studio, before adding, “3D NFT looks like fantasy – beyond the possible current state of blockchain technology. … about the series thanks to the computer on the Internet. ”
