Green Bay Packers soccer defender Aaron Rogers said he will receive a portion of his NFL salary in bitcoin.
In a video posted on November 1 on his Twitter account, Rogers, dressed as the fictional John Wick, probably for Halloween, said he would partner with the Cash app to get a share of his salary in Bitcoin (BTC). In July, the NFL announced that Rogers would receive a $ 1.1 million base salary plus a $ 14.5 million signing bonus and a $ 6.8 million bonus for March, totaling approximately $ 22.3 million.
According to Cointelegraph Markets Pro, Rogers’ total salary will be approximately 368.84 BTC, up from $ 60,636 at time of publication. Although the crypto asset hit an all-time high of around $ 67,000 on October 20, it fell below $ 60,000 more than once in the past week and mostly hovered between $ 60,000 and $ 63,000.

Rogers is joining other professional sports players who are using cryptocurrency as space seems to become more popular. Tampa Bay Buccaneers defender Tom Brady said last week that he is compensating the flag that played his 600th football game of his career with 1 BTC along with some autographed sports memorabilia.
