Three months after the apparent change in the cryptocurrency exchange rate, the outspoken presenter of Mad Money on CNBC claims to have invested bitcoins on Friday in time.

In an interview with TheStreet, Jim Kramer said he bought Bitcoin (BTC) on Friday morning when the price fell below $ 18,000. Host Mad Money added that it handles cryptoassets like any other investment in a diversified portfolio.

Kramer said: “I want to buy – as I usually do – when something goes wrong. I want to get bigger and bigger and bigger. I just think you want to diversify across all types of assets. I have gold. I’m going to diversify into bitcoin – it’s not a big position for me – but it’s absolutely important to be diversified, bitcoin is a resource, and I want an asset balance. ”

Kramer said he thought the price of bitcoin could “fall again” given the volatile history. However, he personally saw $ 17,000 – the price at which he claimed to have bought several bitcoins – as a “decent level”:

“[Bitcoin] is nowhere near the top. I would like to buy something good on top. ”
The CNBC host was once an outspoken critic of Bitcoin before the 2017 boom, saying that the origins of cryptocurrency will “squirt out.” However, since he was a guest on the Bitcoin podcast Anthony “Bomb” Bompliano in September, Kramer said he invests 1% of his portfolio in bitcoin.

At the time of publication, Bitcoin was valued at $ 19,192 after rising 2.6% in the last 24 hours.
