On Friday, however, the Fantom Foundation released a statement claiming “factual inaccuracies”, “false allegations” and “misinformation” from Rekt’s article. In particular, the Phantom Foundation stated:

“Andrey and Anton” did not “complete” 25 projects, instead any involvement (as a user interface) in these projects had to be transferred to existing teams, many of which were developed and run independently.
In addition, the foundation clarified that neither Cronje nor Nell were the main developers of Fantom and that the organization itself was not involved in the creation of any of the 25 projects involved (including but not limited to Partly due to the couple’s departure, the total value listed on the Phantom appears to have dropped to $ 8.27 billion from $ 11.26 billion on Sunday.
