Research firm Hurun has published a list of global companies or companies worth more than $ 1 billion in 2020. This arrangement includes all billions of dollars in emerging tech companies that were founded in the 21st century and have not yet been listed on the stock exchange.

The report, called the Hurun Global Unicorn Index 2020, shows there are a total of 586 rhinos in the world – up from 494 companies included in the 2019 ranking.

The blockchain industry makes up 2% of the list. Ripple leads the way as the highest-rated company in the sector. It ranks 23rd, higher than last year’s index when it ranked 28th on the list.

The most significant change was Binance, as the thirty places on the list rose to 108th.

Bitmain is the biggest loser when it comes to pricing
Bitmain has dropped significantly in terms of rating. The company was valued at $ 12 billion last year, but has since fallen to $ 4 billion. According to Huron, one of the reasons for Bitmain’s downfall was the “modest performance of its competitor, Canaan”.

Coinbase’s crypto exchange still has a value of $ 8 billion, despite falling to number 31 in the Huron Rankings.

Ripple has the highest valuation in the blockchain sector at $ 10 billion. That’s $ 5 billion more than the company’s 2019 ranking.

The Blockchain Research Institute, led by the China Center for Information and Industrial Development (CCID), released its 17th Global Public Network Technology Assessment Index on April 10.

According to the latest index, EOS was recognized as the best blockchain project, while the most used blockchain, Bitcoin, dropped three places and is now 14th on the list.
