Red Date Technology, a blockchain-based service network manufacturer in China, has been licensed by R3 to resell free Corda apps and projects in China.
According to R3’s press release, the news represents the first opportunity for a BSN developer to resell enterprise blockchain technology from a foreign company.
Since the R3 agreement is with BSN China, the developers will create an authorized version of Corda according to the Chinese blockchain rules. In addition, since banks are supposedly potential users of the network, the country’s UnionPay cloud infrastructure will host BSN Corda.
The partnership also provides an entry point for R3 into the Chinese market following the company’s massive expansion in Asia.
Editor Yifan commented on the importance of integrating a blockchain project like Corda into BSN:
“Corda will be directly launched in China through the BSN Blockchain Open Resolution Initiative to provide Chinese developers with low-cost access to Corda technology. Red Date will also help accelerate the adoption of Corda and CorDapp among all Chinese banks so that Chinese financial companies can streamline and start business operations. “Great blockchain for enterprises.
According to the announcement, Chinese companies will be able to access Corda Enterprise through BSN’s public city contract starting in the third quarter of 2021. Red Date Tech plans to include some Corda-based decentralized applications as part of the bootstrap integration for companies wishing to use BSN Corda. …
Since its launch in 2020, BSN has continued to integrate multiple public blockchains in both China’s sole international ecosystems and BSN. Back in February, Cosmos (ATOM) became the first public blockchain added to BSN China.
As Cointelegraph previously reported, TON Labs has signed a partnership agreement with BSN developers to adapt the TON Telegram protocol to a blockchain project in China.
