Adidas enters the Metaverse with NFT partnerships

On Thursday, Adidas announced Metaverse in collaboration with Bored Ape Yacht Club, gmoney NFT and PUNKS Comic Strip. In an article published on the adidas mobile app, the developers stated:

Known for celebrating ideas ahead of originality this fall, adidas has established itself at the forefront of creativity: the metaverse. Is our goal there? See how each of the inhabitants thrives. Metaverse is the place where everyone can express their original ideas and be themselves, no matter what form they may be. And thanks to the blockchain (and NFT), these pioneers can own some of what they make.

In the article, part of the Bored Ape NFT has been redesigned to reveal the iconic adidas tracksuit. The Bored Ape Yacht Club has over 10,000 NFTs embedded on the Ethereum (ETH) blockchain. Meanwhile, gmoney is a well-known cryptocurrency and an influential NFT company featured in Fortune NFTy 50. Finally, PUNKS Comic combines the world of NFT and physical comics to create the so-called crypto comics. Cointelegraph Research expects NFT sales to reach a record high of $ 18 billion by the end of the year, making this sector one of the most successful in the cryptocurrency field.
